All year-round! Especially now; when we need it most. The politics deeply dishearten me.-Stay strong! And stay artful; heartful; spiritual; joyful. The book below; that i bought decades ago; was a priceless used bookstore find! I bought it; well; ostensibly for my boy; but you know.-I truly love to read it myself! I used to dream of living on a farm!🎋marguerite
My Best Christmas Find.
The station called Classical King FM streams classical music; and gorgeous gorgeous Christmas music; all the livelong day! It fills my puttering hours with peace and joy.-Which we in the US need the most now. Hang tight; and listen hard; and make beautiful thoughts; pages; beautiful things! Only beautiful things.-Okay? Because there is enough of the other.🎋🎋
I took this foto at a sweet downtown Christmas display one year. It is the kind of dress that most young girls would dream of having!-Though i never did quite get one. As new immigrants then; we got most of our clothing from the thrift store; or the church rummage sale.-Or hand-me-downs from the older girls; of course. But you become very creative that way! And a sort of artist too! You grow up to see the possibility in things.-I mean; in almost everything! I can see a small rag and think; what could i make from that?!
And now; i see that in my life's stories too.

FOR CHRISTMAS especially; i would like to recommend my beautiful new book; Eventide. Which is a dear thoughtful innocent book; by a girl (and now grown lady); whose family came from war. And so; they have some things to say about war! (Which has been; of course; the sad deeply-uncomfortable subject of our planet in this heartbreaking day.) Though this book is not about any specific war. But just some dear philosophical gatherings by that girl and grown lady; in the form of gentle; poetic; deeply-thoughtful life's stories.
These gatherings consider many important beautiful things.-Like immigration; language; culture; international connection; education; music; poetry; art; children; family; history.-And hope. With a certain obstinate belief that mankind can do better.-Don't you think? She does too; they do too. Yours for world peace; and why not?! Peace on earth.🎋marguerite
