How do you say Bloem?-Well; just as bloom; silly! Just as; beneath the sunshine; or
even in adversity; we all must do! Cheers, then; and happy reading!🎋marguerite

2. The Young Ones; Who
Must Struggle and Grow
There is perhaps a gentle poignant echo; between dear young Miss Leni; in Marguerite's recent book; The Leaving.-And that dear fledgling crow; in her small slender book; Fledgling Season. Though dear Miss Leni perhaps; had a more difficult row to hoe!-She was brave; she was brave.

Followed by The Labyrinth; of course!
It took a strong girl; to make it through.🎋

HERE; a gentle book list then:

Fledgling Season
The Leaving
The Labyrinth🎋

3. Regarding
That Dear Leni-Girl.
Here is the start of a lovely collection on that! First; with Marguerite's dear small poignant novella; The Leaving.-That beautifully shares the wonderful quirky nature; of an immigrant upbringing. Which she will always treasure

To be followed by her brave journey through college; albeit in abject poverty! Which she is proud to have survived! And which she will rightfully call; The Labyrinth. From which she also weaves her earnest; diligent; insightful thesis on war. In her beautiful book; Eventide.🎋

HERE is her lovely
growing collection then:

The Leaving
The Labyrinth;
and Eventide.🎋

Spinally Speaking...
Besides which to say;
that Marguerite has a very
strong one!🎋

BUT PLEASE NOTE; that her important book; The Honor Code; does have a spine text. But she has decided not to use that with other books.-As often; her spines are simply too slender to place a text optimally! Or other times; it would glaringly interfere; with the sweet simple design; of her beautiful original cover fotographs.-Which consideration would be mainly of significance perhaps; to libraries and bookstores. (Because they need spine text.)

But she is thinking of her work more as niche work; as art books; or small slender gift books.-Not as mass market work. And though she would welcome any sales; from bookstores or libraries; she is not offering wholesale prices on her books. For an independent author; it is simply too much trouble to! But if you are a library or bookstore; she thinks; you could affix your own small beautiful spine tags; very artfully somewhere!

The pleasure would be yours;
and the honor would be all hers!

Or; you could feature her books face forward on a rack somewhere! Or; you could buy several copies of each of her books; and store them in one of those nice magazine shelf boxes! (Though her books are surely not magazines.)

But they could be collected
quite nicely that way!

She thinks that perhaps every high school library and bookstore; and every community college library and bookstore; and every local library; should have such a box!-To host a beautiful growing collection of her work! A sort of party box; almost!🎋

MARGUERITE ALSO intends her sales simply for the individual; and the  collectibles and gift market. Because her dear small books are holdable; touchable; readable; treasurable; approachable.-And sharable!

And also regarding gifts; she thinks it is nice; to get a gift sometimes; that is not a gadget; for some daily practical purpose. But sheerly for the enrichment and enjoyment of life! Like a pair of delicious colorful woolly socks perhaps!

Which you could wear while you read her books!-Well. It grows very cold; where Marguerite lives.-A good holiday! From one longtime and hardworking author; and former proud dutch girl; marguerite.🎋

Thank you!🎋

HERE IS an image of the Virgen Guadalupe; that Marguerite took from her older brother's baseball cap one day. (Her family used to live in the Southland. Which she still remembers as heaven.) She will invoke this image to keep a watch over her country now; for the duration. Especially; over vulnerable immigrants. Who are being viciously and unfairly targeted. She waits and watches for strong new leaders; and better days.

Let's have those soon; okay?
Better days; right? Better days.

Give the Gift...

Of a book today! A small gentle flow
or patter of words warms a day.

It is humans; gently sitting down
to talk; think; sing. It is one way that
humans let their beautiful voices ring.

For one thing; let's stop all war! Let's let wiser voices sing for us. And let's ask them to sing in a gentle measured harmony and tune.-For eff sakes. By the light of the moon!🎋marguerite bloem

Reasons to Write...

It is a troubled world. But by writing nobly; gently; quietly; honorably; truthfully; you can keep a light on in the dark. Both for yourself and others. Words are a brave bold light.🎋marguerite

The Joy of Indie...

It is that you can hone your own beautiful voice; and your own beautiful vision; with your own beautiful skill; and with your own beautiful conviction... And let it fly; and let it soar! Though hers will only gently whisper; not roar.🎋marguerite

Lessons in Reading...

You must keep a book to read; in your briefcase; or in your knapsack at all times! Or on a corner table in your room; by your very own reading chair! And if you do not have a reading chair; well... Then surely you must buy one! Because sometimes; the world can and must; go on without you! When you sit to care for; and to take the time for you. As we all; especially in these darkening times; must do.🎋marguerite bloem

A Small View of Heaven...

I took that foto once; at a beautiful beautiful church somewhere in the center of LA. (My mama was a Catholic lady.) Hola, Oma! Who i figure is in heaven now; with my Papa too; even though he was Atheist. I am not sure what the rules are on that! But i think they would have let him stay. They would need a writer there! Just as i will be too.-And in a special spot; i think; that is designated JUST for the people from LA! I plan to find a small cabin there myself; of course! (There are no housing problems there.) And; with my husband too! And we will invite our boy; of course; for many many many visits! (Until he gets there himself.) Just as we used to. With love.🎋From mama marguerite.
